A True Crime Memoir
One man's documented account of a manufactured prosecution, the road map to stop it — and how he became the perfect fighter for the case.
The Author
Miguel Quinones — New York City
In 2016, I was charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping in West Virginia. I was acquitted. Then came a federal prosecution.
What followed was a years-long battle through a system I came to understand from the inside — through interrogation recordings, filed motions, court documents, and published records. Conspiracy to Deprive is built on every one of them.
I wrote this book because I survived something that most people don't — and because the tactics used against me are not unique. They are a pattern. This memoir is my accounting of that pattern, offered as a road map for anyone who needs it.
I am available for speaking engagements, media appearances, and adaptation inquiries.
The Book
Charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping in West Virginia in 2016, then targeted in a subsequent federal prosecution, Miguel Quinones documented everything — the interrogations, the motions, the lies on the record. Conspiracy to Deprive is the result.
"This is not just an account of what happened to me. It is a road map for catching and dismantling manufactured prosecutions — before they reach a conviction."
Structured in three parts, the memoir moves from background and context through the state prosecution and acquittal, to the federal case that followed. Every claim is grounded in documented public record.
The book is currently being prepared for publication. Film and television adaptation rights are available.
